Parking procedure - Journalists

Parking procedure

When travelling on business, all journalists departing from Brussels South Charleroi Airport can park their vehicle free of charge for 48 hours in the Express car park

When staying for more than 48 hours, the remaining balance will be paid by the journalist.

In order to benefit from this free/reduced parking time, journalists are asked to inform the BSCA communications department by sending an email to presse-bsca@charleroi-airport.com at least two working days before the departure date.

The following documents must be provided with the request:

  1. Copy of your press pass
  2. The request form for free services – for 48 hours free parking in the Express car park, duly completed and signed

The request will be processed as soon as it is received by the communications department, and confirmation will be sent to the journalist that free parking will be granted for a period of 48 hours in the Express car park.

What to do on the day of departure

Journalists will need to park their vehicles in the Express car park, arriving early enough to go to the airport’s information desk, located in terminal 1. They must allow sufficient time for this process if their flight is scheduled to depart from terminal 2.

On presentation of their press card, an agent will issue the exit ticket, granting free parking for 48 hours.

What to do on your return

Before going to their vehicle, journalists will have to go to a ticket machine to validate their exit ticket.

  1. Insert the ticket received when entering the Express car park
  2. Insert the ticket granting free parking for 48 hours

If the time spent in the car park is less than or equal to 48 hours, the entry ticket will be returned without the journalist needing to pay anything.

If the time spent in the car park is longer than 48 hours, a total amount will appear on the machine; the cost for 48 hours of parking will be deducted from the total amount. The journalist will need to pay the remaining balance. Once payment has been made, the entry ticket will be returned and the journalist will be able to leave the Express car park.
