Stockholm

Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, is situated on a vast archipelago in the Baltic Sea, with 14 islands and more than 50 bridges. The cobbled streets and ochre-coloured buildings of Gamla stan (the Old Town) are home to the 13th-century Storkyrkan Cathedral, the Royal Palace of Stockholm and the Nobel Museum, dedicated to the Nobel Prize. Ferries and tourist boats carry passengers between the islands.
