Tetouan

Tetouan is a city in Morocco, located in the north of the country, in the western Rif, also known as Jbala country. The city is located about 60 km southeast of the city of Tangier and close to the Strait of Gibraltar, in a valley (the Cluse de Tétouan) carved by the Oued Mhannech into the mountains of the Rif limestone range to the north and south. Tetouan is considered "the most Andalusian city in Morocco". Due to its history and geographical location, it has always had a strong link with Spain and Andalusia in particular.
