Brussels South Charleroi Airport is launching a call for applications to manage a unit dedicated to projects connected to sustainable development
CHARLEROI, 24 June 2024 – Committed to protecting the environment and keen to showcase regional initiatives, Brussels South Charleroi Airport has decided to allocate a unit in a fantastic location inside terminal T1 to promoting local products and projects connected to sustainable development. With this in mind, today BSCA is launching a call for applications to manage this unit.
This year, Brussels South Charleroi Airport will be working closer than ever before with organisations active in the region. This fits in perfectly with one of its values: commitment. After launching a call for projects to offer financial support for implementing practical initiatives at a regional level for the benefit of sustainable development, health and young people, the airport is now launching a call for applications to find the future manager of a unit in terminal T1.
Committed to protecting the environment, BSCA would like to dedicate this unit to activities and products connected to sustainable development. These may include selling products, raising awareness, providing information and educational initiatives. “It is important for us to showcase regional initiatives, and more specifically, projects that highlight sustainable development”, explains Philippe Verdonck, CEO of Brussels South Charleroi Airport. “This space is the perfect opportunity to organise activities, sell regional products, inform and educate our passengers. It fits in perfectly with our strategy to take a sustainable approach to developing our airport.”
In practical terms, the unit has a surface area of 30m² (+3m² for storage). The manager will be in charge of coordinating the different companies and organisations that will be represented in the unit. They will help to promote local businesses who are committed to the far-reaching goal of boosting activities and raising the profile of different aspects of “Sustainable development”, while also respecting the airport’s environmental policy.
With more than 9 million passengers a year, this unit represents a fantastic opportunity to promote sustainable regional initiatives at BSCA.
Applications must be submitted by 22 July 2024 at the latest.
