When it comes to new destinations, as of 28 October Ryanair will be launching a twice-weekly service from Charleroi airport to Reggio di Calabria, a charming coastal town in the far south of Italy. The quality of the beaches, plentiful sunshine, breathtaking views of Sicily and the Aeolian Islands make Reggio Calabria a wonderful seaside destination.
The airline has also announced that it will be extending its summer services to several European cities this winter: Cork (Ireland), Dubrovnik (Croatia), Gothenburg (Sweden), Lamezia (Italy), Sarajevo (Bosnia-Herzegovina), Trieste (Italy) and Kaunas (Lithuania). Other Ryanair destinations are also making a comeback: Fuerteventura (Canary Islands, Spain) for year-round sunshine and Rovaniemi (Lapland, Finland), a hugely popular destination, both as Santa’s home town and for its northern lights.
Air Corsica will be operating several flights between Charleroi airport and the beautiful coastal towns of Ajaccio and Bastia during the autumn holidays and the festive season.
Thanks to Wizz Air, from 19 December Charleroi airport will be linked twice a week to a new destination, Chișinău. The capital of Moldavia is not lacking in assets, with its historic centre and numerous green spaces in particular.
Finally, from February 21, Volotea will be adding a new destination to its offer from Charleroi airport. As well as Nice, which will be relaunched for the summer season, the airline will be offering two flights a week to Bordeaux, a city much appreciated for its wines, gastronomy and natural parks.
