These additional routes will give more travellers the chance to enjoy some delightful holiday destinations or visit loved ones, landing as close as possible to their final destination.”
Salerno and the Amalfi Coast, the jewel of southern Italy (from 31 March 2025, Mondays and Fridays)
Salerno, a charming city on the gulf of the same name, is one of Italy’s hidden treasures. A vibrant place to live, the city boasts countless cultural and tourist attractions. Its famous Minerva’s Garden overlooks the city, offering breathtaking views. A visit to its Romanesque cathedral is a must. But beyond all of the charming attractions it has to offer, Salerno is the ideal base from which to explore the rest of the region, with its many riches and fascinating culture.
Katowice, a Polish city that balances tradition and modernity (from 1 April, Tuesdays and Saturdays)
Katowice, the capital of the Silesia region, has a rich industrial past, traces of which can still be seen today. Every year, the city welcomes large numbers of tourists looking for culture, history and nature.
Katowice has a wealth of architectural monuments, including several Art Nouveau buildings in its centre. A number of mines and foundries still bear witness to the city’s industrial past, offering visitors the chance to see some of the machines that would once have been used. Exploring Katowice takes you back into the past, giving you the chance to understand it better, as well as introducing you to the city’s wonderful arts scene.
Although industry plays an important role in Katowice, woods and forests, including two nature reserves, cover 40% of the city.
Volos, the epitome of the good life (from 2 May, Mondays and Fridays)
Located in Thessaly, at the foot of Mount Pelion, Volos is a coastal city on the Greek mainland, an important port for the Sporades islands and the perfect destination for anybody interested in culture, history or nature. Come to Volos to immerse yourself in the authentic atmosphere and ambience of Greece. Its rich mythological past and beautiful landscapes make for a unique travel experience.
People visit Volos for its culture, its hospitality, its cuisine... But it’s really worth taking some time to explore the villages in the surrounding mountains. As well as the panoramic views that are bound to take your breath away, these villages and their traditional architecture captivate everyone who ventures down their narrow streets.
The Anavros walking trail, a popular choice for locals and visitors alike, covers over two kilometres along the Pagasitikos Gulf. The reward for your exertions is a breathtaking panoramic view of the sea and mountains.
Tickets for these three destinations are already available on the airline’s website – https://www.ryanair.com.
