Brussels South Charleroi Airport recorded 882,958 passengers last month, a 9% increase compared to 2019.
AUGUST 2022 RESULTS
Charleroi, 9 September 2022 – Brussels South Airport published its figures for August 2022 today.
The airport recorded 882,958 passengers, an improvement on July 2019, the reference year before the health crisis.
BSCA saw more flights than in August 2019 when we recorded an average of 76 flights per day compared with 84 in August 2022.

- This August, BSCA welcomed Bepact, the Belgian organisation that brings together professionals involved in public affairs, for businesses, business federations and lobbying agencies.
Bepact organises the Summer School, an initiative for sharing insights about socio-economic issues in Wallonia.
Against this backdrop, Willy Borsus, Vice-President of Wallonia, has agreed to speak on the subject of economic restructuring in Wallonia.
- Brussels South Charleroi Airport was delighted to host the shooting of the film Visions by Yann Gozlan (Black Box, A Perfect Man), which will be released in 2023. Diane Kruger, the film’s lead actress, came to play the role of a pilot of an Airbus A330neo, provided by the long-haul airline, Air Belgium. Panache Productions, La Compagnie Cinématographique and Anga Productions brought together more than 120 extras and a crew of 40 people who were looked after by our teams to help the director to bring his vision to life.”
- Brussels South Charleroi Airport is one of the nominees in the “Ecology” category of the newly launched Trends Impact Awards, which recognises companies that implement strategies to generate a positive impact and create sustainable value for everyone.
At the end of the year, 7 prestigious awards will be presented at the Trends Impact Awards in collaboration with the Antwerp Management School.
