Charleroi, 19 July 2021 - Following the floods that have affected our country in recent days, many people have lost some or even all of their property. In order to help the victims, Brussels South Charleroi Airport will be organising a gesture of solidarity on 24 and 25 July. Items will be collected at the Executive Aviation Terminal between 10am and 6pm.

Our country has recently been hit by unprecedented bad weather. This has devastated many regions with serious consequences for those affected. With this in mind, Brussels South Charleroi Airport will be organising a collection of food, clothes, personal hygiene and childcare products, cleaning materials etc. on 24 and 25 July 2021, between 10am and 6pm. This will take place at the former airport terminal at Rue des Fusillés, 1 - 6041 Gosselies (Charleroi).

In association with the EIA Group, the items will then be distributed among the municipalities that have been affected. Restaurant owners will also be taking part in this gesture of solidarity by preparing meals using the food collected.

Philippe VERDONCK, Chief Executive Officer of Brussels South Charleroi Airport, explains: “We cannot stand idly by and watch the plight of our fellow citizens. We would therefore like to show them our support through this campaign, for which we appeal to everybody’s generosity”.
