New rise in traffic numbers at Brussels South Charleroi Airport: 513,383 passengers recorded in February 2019
Charleroi, 14 March 2019 – Brussels South Charleroi Airport continues to grow in 2019. A new rise in passenger numbers has been recorded. 513,383 passengers passed through BSCA in February 2019, compared with 507,429 over the same period in 2018, so an increase of 1%. The occupancy rate for February was 89%.
In February 2019, there was once again lots of traffic to/from Italy, making it for Brussels South Charleroi Airport’s number 1 destination. Spain holds on to its number two spot, followed by Morocco, France and Poland.
On 12 March 2019, Ryanair announced the launch of a new route to Israel. There will be four flights a week connecting Brussels South Charleroi Airport to Tel Aviv for the 2019-2020 winter season. Ryanair has also confirmed that it will carry on its Brussels Charleroi – Bézier Cap D’Agde route through the winter, with three flights/week (this line is due to launch on 2 April 2019). On 1 February, we took back operational control of our car parks, meaning that we can work more closely with our passengers. On the same theme, we are continuing to develop our digital tools to guarantee travellers passing through our facilities a fantastic experience. Lastly, while the work on future commercial area continues, two new outlets have opened, namely the Charles’ Brewing Company (Terminal 1) and Airport Bar 28 (Terminal 2). »
